Design
The Series 3 plant deck has been used on this project, to raise the Mitsubishi ASHPs off the roof level and allow airflow underneath the screens. This system is also completely freestanding and sits on top of the waterproofing layer of the inverted roof buildup, removing the need for any roof penetrations or weathering details. Integrated into this plant deck is the Standard Screen aesthetic option with the acoustically absorptive Peacemaker backing. The roof over the units is constructed from our Baffle400 acoustic product, which gives a Rw7dB reduction and a high free area of 75%.
Key features
– Series 3 platform for a secure, non-penetrating rooftop solution.
– Peacemaker panels providing a Rw-14db + NRC
1.0 reduction.
– Baffle400 roof to allow 75% free area inside the enclosure.
– Standard Screens PPC slats to visually conceal plant equipment.
– Conforms to BS EN 516 2006 and BS EN 1090-3 2008
Installation
To streamline the installation process and minimize disruption on site, the enclosure’s base and side panels were pre-fabricated in our factory in Leeds. This approach not only ensured higher precision and quality control but also significantly reduced the time and labour required during the final installation. The installation was carried out by JS Wright, who we guided through the installation process.
