To display the indicated noise levels for a chosen situation
- Input the noise power level of the machine with the highest value
- Select the sound frequency level (500-1000Hz is average)
- Input the quantity of machines
- Select the screen height required
- Select the screen type
- Select the height position of the receiver to display the values at the various distances
Above indication is based on our lab tests and shows the performance result of Rw(C;Ctr) and is assuming temperature is 20° and humidity is 50%
To put things into perspective, below are some examples of common sounds and how many dB they are when measured at 2m:
Near total silence (threshold of normal hearing) – 0 dB
A whisper – 15 dB
A normal conversation – 60 dB
City traffic – 85 dB
A lawnmower – 90 dB
A jack-hammer at 20 meters – 95 dB
A car horn – 110 dB
A rock concert or a jet engine – 120 dB
A gunshot or firecracker – 140 dB
